BEGINNING ELEMENTARY VOICE CLASS

Ages: Entering 3rd & 4th Grade

Students explore age ­appropriate breathing and vocal techniques through a variety of vocal repertoire, while learning music theory, music reading, and sight singing. They will experience how to perform for an audition and for general audiences through in ­class performances. The fruits of their labor will culminate in an end of the semester vocal demonstration!

Wednesdays: 4:00pm - 5:00pm

ADVANCED ELEMENTARY VOICE CLASS

Ages: Entering 4th & 5th grade

*4th graders in Advanced Elementary must have completed a previous SPA voice class session.

This voice class offers a continuation of the basic vocal techniques taught in the Elementary Voice Class (breathing, vowel formation and musical expression). In addition, students will focus on skills to aid in auditioning and performing.

Wednesdays: 5:00pm – 6:00pm

BEGINNING MIDDLE SCHOOL VOICE CLASS

Ages: Entering 6th & 7th grade

Students learn focus, breathing, appropriate vocal technique, musical expression, care of the voice, sight singing, and theory. Classes will include solo and ensemble performance experience as well as preparation of appropriate audition pieces.

Wednesdays: 6:00pm – 7:00pm

ADVANCED Middle School VOICE CLASS

Ages: Entering 7th & 8th grade, 

*7th graders in Advanced Elementary must have completed a previous SPA voice class session.
