It’s show time! This workshop will help students gain confidence and grow as young artists. They will receive the skills necessary to follow stage directions, articulate clearly, listen, react in the moment, create a character and an ensemble.
Have a blast rehearsing an original musical revue while perfecting your musical theatre skills. Each actor will have an opportunity to learn how to audition, create a character, work memorization, and put on a show!
Students will focus on scenes and songs from great musicals, as if they were given that role in a play. This class will focus on building a character and ensemble in musical theatre. We will also touch on the ‘business’ aspects – putting together a resume, how to “work” the audition
Jump into the world of Sketch Comedy & Stand-up! This class is designedperfectly for our Improv students – bringing even more opportunity to work with a writing and character/storytelling focus.
Ages 8 – Adult
Students dive into the art of acting, while using creative drama and fundamental staging techniques and Improv Games to perform Improvisational works – truly working and learning ‘in the moment’
Ages 9 – 21
Screen acting classes are designed for students with an interest in film and commercial work, which is quite different from the stage. Learn about the TV/film industry by focusing on how to read copy, find camera angles, hit the mark, slate, audition, and book those gigs!
Grades 1 - 5
This year boasts a Studio Stage for children ages 6 – Grade 5 with three performances!
This series is a favorite of The School and is designed as a performance outlet to allow students the opportunity to experience musical theatre at a comfortable pace. Students who have a love for music, theatre, dance, and performance will have a blast attending weekly rehearsals, learning about musical theatre, and perfecting their talents! A final Studio performance will be presented at the end of the session – lights, sound, costumes, props and more set this opportunity above the rest!
